いつも錦の湯地本屋のブログを御覧頂きありがとうございます。

春が近づいてきました。地本屋の駐車場の桜が咲き始めました。この桜は、１年に２回咲く１０月桜と言います。今と１０月末頃開花です。去年の11月初め、地元の信濃毎日新聞社のカメラマンさんが写真を撮っていかれた桜です。




又　松本インター、松本駅方面から地本屋に続く、浅間温泉内のこぶし並木のこぶしも咲き始めました。春の地本屋で、お待ちしています。

4月１日（火）に国宝松本城の桜の開花宣言を行いました

令和７年の夜桜会を4月４日（金）から１１日（火）まで開催します。
日ごと暖かくなっています。開花はどうでしょうか？

浅間温泉から無料の松本城夜桜見学送迎バスが出ます。
午後7時５０分　温泉会館前集合　松本城へ　４５分滞在自由見学

【夜桜会開催概要】松本城本丸庭園夜桜　無料　主催　松本市
日時：令和6年4月4日（金）から11日（金）
　　　 午後５時３０分から午後９時まで（最終入場：午後８時５０分）
場所：国宝松本城　本丸庭園
　　　（昼間の有料観覧を午後５時で終了後、改めて開門します。）

ご来場の際には以下の注意事項をご確認のうえ、お出かけください。
１　アルコール飲料の持ち込み及び飲食は禁止です。
２　ペットのご入場はお断りしています。
３　本丸庭園内での飲食は厳禁です。

２月８日に、新プロジェクトXで、“白鷺城はよみがえった”として、国宝姫路城の５０年に一度の大修理の様子が放送されていました。
黒カビで黒くなった瓦の漆喰全面塗り替えの時、灰頭付目地漆喰という姫路城でしか使われていない漆喰技法が使われていました。
大修理で７万５千枚の瓦全部の漆喰が塗り替えられ白くなりました。見られた方もいらっしゃるかもしれません。



国宝松本城も、毎年美しく保つために、防水の黒塗りの部分（下見板張、唐破風等）を毎年秋（９月から１０月頃に）塗り替えしています。
黒漆塗りは、松本城だけです。漆塗りの部分は、墨に柿渋を混ぜ塗った下地の上に、漆に鉄分を混ぜ黒くした漆を塗ります（黒漆という）。


漆は、松本が高地なのでその紫外線に弱いのが唯一弱点で、毎年地本の漆屋さんが塗り替えます。
塗り替え時期は、季節の温度、湿度で変動することがあります。新しい漆は適度の水分を含むと硬化しきれいになります。これが、松本城がいつも黒い理由です。

We would like to express appreciation for visiting blog of Asama hot spring “Nisikinoyu Jimotoya”.

On February 8th, TV program of NHK(Japan broadcasting corporation) showed National treasure “Himeji castle” repairing project as “Project X(Shirasagi castle recovery)”.
Once a 50 years, Himeji castle has been repaired on a large scale. Specific technique is repainted by white plaster(shikkui) of roof tiles. Black mold discolored roof tiles white plaster.


In Himeji castle, only one special technique (white plaster with haigashira:haigashira tuki meji sikkui) has used. This technique is not used by the other castles in Japan.
White plaster of all 75 thousand roof tiles were repainted. This is reason(secret) of white of Himeji castle.

Next, on the contrary we show the reason(secret) of Black Matsumoto castle. Matsumoto castle was constructed on AC 1594 and is the oldest original castle donjon tower in Japan.
For beauty, National treasure “Matsumoto castle” also has been repainted by specific black lacquer (Kurourushi) in every Autum(from approximately September to October).
Repaint is conducted for wooden made black portion of water proofing purpose(on black wall portion:shitami itabari or hahu etc)
Black lacquer painted castle is only Matsumoto castle in Japan. India ink mixed with persimmon tannin is applied as plymer on wooden board. After that lacquer with black iron content is painted above.(this means black color lacquer: this is called kurourusi)

Lacquer film on board is weak against ultra violet lay because Matsumoto city is located at high altitude 600m from sea level. Every year, local area lacquerers has painted matumoto castle.
Repaint period varies due to temperature or humidity of season. New lacquer is hardened by appropriate humidity and become beautiful. This is reason(secret) of Black Matsumoto castle.
